"Lover Reborn" by J.R. Ward

SERIES: Black Dagger Brotherhood #10
GENRE: Paranormal Romance
SOURCE: Publisher
LINKS: Goodreads | Book Depository

Now back in the Brotherhood—and unrecognisable as the vampire leader he once was—Tohrment is physically emaciated and heartbroken beyond despair. When he begins to see his beloved in his dreams—trapped in a cold, isolating netherworld—Tohr turns to a self-serving fallen angel in the hopes of saving the one he has lost. When he's told he must learn to love another to free his former mate, Tohr knows they are all doomed... Except then a female with a shadowed history begins to get through to him. Against the backdrop of the raging war with the lessers, and with a new clan of vampires vying for the Blind King's throne, Tohr struggles betweens the buried past, and a very hot, passion-filled future... but can his heart let go and set all of them free?

This was my first The Black Dagger Brotherhood series book. How did I manage to understand everything properly and not feeling lost even for a second you say? Well, because I have an amazing friend who knows how to explain nine books in one chat with such a devotion and passion that I enjoyed every minute of my reading and I really didn't have problems with the background story. Of course I will read of all them anyway, once started you need more and even if I know the previous events, I'm sure I will find a huge pleasure in reading every book!

I found Tohrment a beautiful character in every sense! I felt so much pain for him, and it's true I couldn't feel a connection with Wellsie so I know I missed that sadness fans can relate to with Tohr, but still I see how desperately in love he was with her shellan and it made me struggle for him... Along came cries, but with No'One... I liked her character a lot and I absolutely loved every Tohr/No'One moment!

It would be a big lie if I'd say there's just one character who captured my attention first and my heart then, I practically love all of them and in this it helped the fact that even if the book focus on a particular couple, others have always found their right space among the chapters and so you live more than just one story. I liked that and one thing is for sure, give me more Qhuinn, John and Lassiter and I'll be a damn happy woman!

I really love J.R. Ward's writing style, you laugh so much that you start having cramps one minute and cry like a baby the next, so (to quote V) "fan-fucking-tastic"!
