SUMMARY
Lucian Roman knows he must stay away from Bronwyn Kettler for sanity's sake. Since feeding her his blood, he can think of nothing else but possessing her—fighting an uncontrollable desire to kill her if need be, and the vampire she has sworn to wed. Bronwyn, a brilliant vampire genealogist, can never escape her connection to Lucian. He sustained her when she was starving. He still rules her dreams. And when the nights get dark enough, she still craves him—but although his essence still courses through her body, she has found a true mate in someone else. But when a dangerous enemy threatens Bronwyn, only Lucian—bound to her forever by blood—can save her life. Even if it means sacrificing his own...

MY REVIEW

The strong chemistry between Lucian and Bronwyn was evident from the moment they met in book one, and that was the main reason why I was impatiently waiting for this book. That, and the fact that Lucian was the character who captivated me the most from the start.

Is no mystery that Lucian has always been the most impetuous of the brothers, but would I have expected to see his hot-headed temper leading to such a dark glorious bounding? Perhaps, not so much. Don't get me wrong, I had no doubts it would have been something sinfully wonderful, but I definitely couldn't have predicted such gorgeous fireworks at all! To put it bluntly, Laura Wright has a powerful way with words, and so her sex scenes literally make your toes curl up in pure pleasure... But Lucian and Bronwyn are more than that. Lustful moments are alternated with very lovely ones, and from time to time you have lots of trouble in holding back the laughs. I find this a peculiarity of the series, even in the darkest of the moments, the characters will always bring a smile, or a grin, on your face. I love it!

The background story has left its remarkable sign, too. How can I resist the urge to pick up the fourth instalment after a cliffhanger like that? The answer is simple, I won't, because this series has completely got my heart and so the Roman brothers.

RATING: 4.5/5
