Today I have the pleasure to host Absolution Tour (by Dark Mind Book Tours)!
Welcome to Darkest Sins, Louis!

(Louis Corsair)
Louis Corsair is an eight year veteran of the United States Army. Currently, he lives in Los Angeles, CA and attends Long Beach State University. He also works at the Peninsula Center Library in Palos Verdes, where books have become his family. To him, writing is more than a hobby or a passion; it is the only way to exist—at times life itself.

Where you can find Louis: Blog - Facebook - Goodreads

Here you can read the book summary: A dead private eye is brought back to life for one day to solve the supernatural murder of an Adult film star. For Hollywood Private Investigator Raymond Adams, life ended in 1947 when a gangster killed him. But the afterlife isn't what he expected. In the Abstract Realm, he continuously snaps out of fabricated scenarios meant to rid his soul of impurities. Worse, he's not even sure of the type of man he was in life. So he accepts an offer from the celestial beings in charge. The son of a Pit Lord was murdered in Hollywood and his soul was taken. If he finds the culprit and the missing soul, they’ll grant him eternal peace. But there are complications: They can only bring him back to life for 24 hours; this is not the Hollywood he remembers--It’s the year 2011; and the victim was an Adult film actor whose private life was...exotic. With only the help of a possessed cop and a medium, Adams must trek through a Hollywood underground filled with prostitutes, the homeless, and sadists, along with supernatural monsters. But can he solve the case when his own haunting memories keep surfacing, telling him exactly what kind of man he was?

ABSOLUTION EXCERPT
A RETURN

I was in a preparation chamber made completely out of light. I hovered like a cloud watching child-like celestials regenerate and reanimate my corpse. They didn’t bother with new clothes and simply fixed up the suit I had been buried in. When finished, they vacuumed me into my old body, a loving experience I could only compare to dying.
“Cold...” I said and my throat was dry like the Mojave in the middle of summer. They explained my body was mostly dead but this would improve as time passed. To help me with the shivers, the merciful celestials threw in a brown overcoat, shoes, and a fedora.
“Gun,” I said. True I was dead, but the people I was going to deal with were not and I had a feeling they would want to stay that way. Protection was necessary.
They gave me a revolver loaded with ten Thunderbolt bullets. I also got a good watch to keep track of time, an enchanted magnifying glass, and a special rune to communicate with the Committee. The big people wanted regular updates on my progress.
The celestials opened a portal to the Realm of the Living and sent me through it.

"The King's Pleasure" by Kitty Thomas

THE KING'S PLEASURE BY KITTY THOMAS

SERIES: Novella / Submissive Fairy Tales Anthology
PUBLISHER: Burlesque Press
GENRE: Dark Erotica
SOURCE: Review copy received from the author

SUMMARY (from the author's site)
In the kingdom of Himeros, Abigail is despised for her gypsy heritage. Pushed to the fringes of society, she’s forced to break the law in order to help feed her family. When a castle guard catches her stealing bread, he intends to cut off her hand for the offense. Niall has just taken the throne and is determined to prove he isn’t a monster like his father. Awakened by the cries of a gypsy, he spares her from the guard’s blade and takes her as his slave instead. When he learns she doesn’t understand the kingdom’s carnal ways, he becomes determined to strip her of all inhibitions until her every desire is in service to the king’s pleasure.
DISCLAIMER: This is a work of fiction, and the author does not endorse or condone any behavior done to another human being without their consent. WARNING: This book contains master/slave, group sexual activity, mild sadomasochism, oral and anal play, exhibitionism, and voyeurism. AUTHOR’S NOTE: This story exists in an alternate world that is not part of our history. You may notice a blend of some modern technology (electricity and running water), with an old world feel. This is by design.

MY REVIEW

I really admire how Kitty Thomas pushes all the right buttons in you every single time, with a power so strong and simply irresistible... Dark, erotic and kinky are always the key to fall for the fascinating and unique worlds Kitty creates, and from my point of view with this novella she has created a particularly enchanted world, where the bond between the couple is sensually captivating, just like the trust Abigail has for the King.

At some point something uncomfortable happens and it's inevitable to start asking yourself if you can really accept some kind of situations and actions. But here's the thing, you can wonder about your own morals as you please, but in the end, you will always fall for that dark world the author shows you. In this case then, trust me, right or wrong, you'll really want to be at the service of the king's pleasure... Niall is an absolutely amazing Master/King and God help me, would that ever be a time in which I won't like a so OMG-dominant-and-scary-Man of yours, Kitty? Come on, I challenge you!

This erotic, beautiful fairy tale was definitely something refreshing and a total pleasure to read, but of course I wouldn't have expected nothing less from a Master of this genre like Kitty Thomas.

"Awakening" by Kitty Thomas

AWAKENING BY KITTY THOMAS

SERIES: Novella / Submissive Fairy Tales Anthology

PUBLISHER: Burlesque Press
GENRE: Dark Erotica
SOURCE: Review copy received from the author

SUMMARY (from the author's site)
Nerina has lived all her life as a mermaid, fascinated by humans and land but also repulsed by sex and unable to understand love. Her curiosity gets her captured by a human male intent on awakening her lust and turning her human. But Nerina doesn’t believe the legend is real and fears Kyros will kill her when he learns she can’t transform.

MY REVIEW

I never read anything about mermaids, most because a part of me was afraid I wouldn't have enjoied these creatures as much as the others, but I've always been curious about them. Then "Awakening" came on my way and I discovered a unique, pleasurable world...

The legend about mermaids that can be turned into humans if the right pleasure is awaken within them it's simply charming, but the psychological part is terribly intriguing. Is Nerina being forced in her change or is that wat she really wants from the very beginning? She was captured and taken away from her family, everyone should feel sorry for her just for this, right? But in some way you keep having that feeling she's in the right place... She's really conflicted and can't believe she can even think about leaving the sea forever. And for what then? For lust and passion? It's simply unacceptable. Still, the more you read, the more you feel the change like a desperate need, just like her craving for Kyros... He knows what he wants, how to kindle the flame of passion in Nerina, but he's patient during the whole process and believe me, this is what makes him appear even sexier!

The big pleasure you get by reading "Awakening" is the perfect example of how it's a matter of quality and not quantity that makes a story powerful and unforgettable.

RATING: 4.5/5

Maid For Pleasure Tour: Excerpt, Review & Giveaway!

This is the first stop for Maid For Pleasure Tour (by Dark Mind Book Tours)!!
Welcome to Darkest Sins, Lucy!

Lucy Rodgers writes dark erotic tales that explore the three C’s: consent, coercion, and captivity. Her stories always include some combination of forced seduction, questionable consent, lack of safe words, indoctrination, and slavery/ownership. Lucy’s books are intended for mature readers who understand the difference between fantasy and reality and who are looking for erotic literature that explores not just the physical but also the psychological and emotional elements of sexual bondage and domination.

How to connect with Lucy: Website - Twitter - Email

Here you can read the book summary: Insurance actuary Libby Beckett is the epitome of a successful, independent, modern woman. With her six figure salary, she has a condo overlooking the beach, a BMW, and a closet full of fabulous shoes. So why isn’t she happy? And why do her fantasies always involve whips, bondage, and sexual slavery? Her desires are impossible to explain her buttoned-down accountant boyfriend, which is why when she stumbles across a website for a quasi-dating service for submissive women called Maid for It, she signs up. She’s quickly “matched” to Gavin Huntley, an engineer and inventor possessed of a small fortune and his own private island in the Caribbean. After carefully weighing the risks and rewards, as any good actuary should do, Libby breaks it off with her boyfriend and heads to Gavin’s island for what she promises herself will be two weeks to explore her darkest, dirtiest desires. When her time is up, she’ll say her safe word and, as outlined in Maid for It’s contract, Gavin will be required to release her. But Gavin knows what Libby truly needs, and it’s not to be free. She’s made for pleasure—his pleasure—and he intends to put her to good use. Forever.

MAID FOR PLEASURE EXCERPT
USED WITH PERMISSION, COPYRIGHT LUCY RODGERS

Two hours later, I’ve changed my mind. I do hate this and him. My knees are screaming in agony, my back and arms ache, and my hands are raw. And I’m not even halfway done.

I pause and straighten, stretching my arms above my head. I want to quit. I want to take this bucket of water and throw it in his face, walk out the door and find the driver who brought me here and demand he take me back to the airstrip. Hell, I don’t even have to do that. All I have to do is utter the safe word we’ve agreed on and everything will come to a halt.
So why don’t I?
Because I haven’t gotten what I came for, and every nerve ending in my body tells me I will get it if I can just get through this test.
Gavin turns my crank. Even more than I expected. Before I came, I worried that even though I’d seen his photos and found him attractive, the chemistry wouldn’t be there in person. But it is. And despite the fact that he hasn’t touched me yet, not even in an asexual way, I can feel the thickness of the air and the crackling of the tension between us. He wants to do all the things he’s promised to me.
Even now, as I arch my back and roll my shoulders, I’m aware of him watching me. After I got down to scrub the floor, he took a large roll of paper out of a file drawer and spread it out on the large dining room table. He’s been there since, working on a project, I presume, while I’ve been on my hands and knees. I imagine he’s been getting a pretty good show, given my lack of panties and the way my breasts jiggle when I scrub.
In a way, demanding that I prove I really want to submit myself fully to him, without conditions or hard limits, is the act of a gentleman.
At the moment, however, that thought doesn’t make me any less impatient or resentful. I drop the scrub brush into the bucket. I’m done, and I’m willing to accept the consequences. What I’m not going to do is use my safe word to escape those consequences.
“Are you quitting?” Gavin asks.
I was right. He’s definitely been paying attention the whole time I’ve been working. “Yes, Master.”
God, saying that word sends a bolt of lust straight to my pussy. I’ve spent years wondering what’s wrong with me. How I could possibly be turned on by behavior other people would classify as controlling and abusive. Now, I know it doesn’t matter. I am. That’s enough.
“You know you haven’t finished what I told you to do yet.”
I somehow manage to get to my feet, which isn’t easy because I’m stiff from hours in one position, and turn to look at him. The expression on his face—cold and implacable—makes me so weak in the knees, I fear I might fall back down to them.
“I know, Master. But I need a break. I’m not used to this kind of work.” I try to keep any hint of whining or complaint out of my voice.
To my relief, the lines around his mouth ease. “I did ask rather a lot of you for a first day, didn’t I?”
Instinct tells me it isn’t wise to agree with him. I need to let him know that nothing he asks of me can be too much. “No, you didn’t ask too much. I just can do too little.”
A smile tugs at one corner of his mouth. He gets up from the chair and starts toward me. “Well played, pet, well played.”
There’s no mistaking the thick erection pushing against the zipper of his jeans. I close my eyes, swaying with anticipation. Something is finally going to happen.
“Open your eyes,” he commands, soft and low.
Even before I obey, I know he’s only inches from me. Heat radiates from him as though he’s an open flame, and his warm, cinnamon-sweet breath caresses my face. When I do open my eyes, I find he’s removed his glasses, and his eyes are an even more startling blue than I expected. Almost the same shade as the ocean that surrounds his island, and just as cutting.
I shiver, which makes no sense, because I’m burning up.
“You know there will be consequences for not completing your task.”
Oh God, I hope so. “Yes, Master.”
He reaches out and tucks a hair behind my ear. “I should make you finish, I think. I’m afraid you’ll consider the punishment I have in mind more of a reward.”
That sounds promising.
“Get on your knees.”
I blink my surprise as my knees scream in protest at the idea. “Master?” I can’t keep the note of pleading out of my voice this time.
“On your knees,” he repeats. “Now.”
Squeezing my eyes shut, I do what he tells me. As soon as my knees meet the cool, hard tile, I want to cry. They may not be bloody, but they’re definitely bruised. It’s even more agonizing than I expected.
“Does that hurt?” he asks softly. And, I can’t help thinking, with a hint of delight. He’s enjoying my pain.
“Yes, Master.”
“Good. It wouldn’t be punishment if it felt good, would it?”
I shake my head. “No, I guess not.” My knees throb in protest, but my clit throbs more. I’m enjoying my pain as much—maybe more—than he is.
With my eyes still closed, I await whatever else he has in store for me. There’s a rustling sound and the unmistakable scritch of a metal zipper. I know what’s coming, and I lick my lips just as he brushes the velvety head of his cock against my cheek. Not waiting for his direction, I turn my head and open my mouth.
He grabs the back of my head and pulls me to a halt. Wincing because his fingers are threaded up under the bun over which my lacy French maid’s cap is pinned, I look up at him in confusion. Have I misunderstood his intentions?
“The first thing you need to learn, pet, is that you never do anything unless I tell you to. All the initiative is mine. Understood?”
Swallowing hard, I nod even though I’m not sure it’s a rule I can easily obey. I’m a little too Type A to never take the initiative. But for two weeks… Maybe. I’ll try.
“Good. Now, you’re going to open that pretty little mouth of yours, and I’m going to fuck it until I come down your throat. You are not to participate in any way. You’re just providing me a hole to fuck. Got it?”
I nod again. Every part of my body is tingling with arousal.
“And one more thing.”
“Yes, Master.”
“You are not allowed to come unless I tell you to. And I’m warning you right now, I’m not going to tell you to come today. If you do come, you’ll finish the floor.”
I stare up at him, stunned and terrified by this order. Because I’m so lit up, I’m not sure I can keep myself from coming. And the thought that I can’t makes the need even harder to suppress.
“Now, open wide, pet.”
I open. And pray.

MY REVIEW

"Maid For Pleasure" is a dark erotica book where the DARK is very strong and I couldn't have been more fascinated by it. No, I'm not shocked because when I accept this kind of books to review, I'm always well aware of what I'm going to find myself in and, blushing or not (I dare anyone telling me they don't), when you find an author like Lucy Rodgers, who writes delightfully, I can't help getting lost in pleasure during all the reading.

The story caught my attention from the beginning with that beautiful island, a real piece of Paradise where I would happily live forever... Then of course there's the relationship between Libby and Gavin, but it would be wrong to think about that just like domination and sex. There is trust and love, as well, and Gavin can be really charming as much as quite scary... At some point something unthinkable (or at least nothing I have never read before) happens that left me like "I can't possibly understand something like that... Ok, then why am I so intrigued by it?". And that's exactly what this story is, psychologically intriguing.

If you're not used to this genre or you're not comfortable in reading BDSM at all, then you will surely have trouble with this story. But if you are passionate about real dark erotica, then pick this book up today and enjoy every minute of pleasure!

Conner Tour: Excerpt, Review & Giveaway!

This is the last stop for Conner Tour (by Dark Mind Book Tours)!!
Welcome to Darkest Sins, Miranda!

(Miranda Stork)
I was born in Guisborough, North Yorkshire in 1987 and have lived in various places around Britain, including Newcastle and Glasgow. My writing is inspired by various writers, including the vivid characters of Charles Dickens, the imagination of Stephen King, and the gothic imagery of Anne Rice. My love of horror began at an early age, when I was only three or four. I could read proficiently at the age of three, and devoured fairy-stories, but I always had a bent towards the darker stories, such as the Brother's Grimm's tales...Red Riding Hood was always a firm favourite, although I always felt sorry for the wolf, despite him having tried to eat everyone! I also had an incredibly vivid imagination, leading me to believe that the noises that the radiator in my room made, were in fact the noises of monsters hiding behind it. This led to me having terrible nightmares, in which I believed I woke up and would see them sat in my room, doing nothing more extraordinary than playing cards or reading a book. As I got older, my love of tales about unknown creatures persisted, always wanting to devour tales about ghosts or other beings. Being born in Guisborough was also a coincidence, as it is a town rich in folklore and ghosts in various places, such as the Black Monk of Guisborough Priory...whether or not any of these stories were true, I still don't know, but I love the tingle of imagining whether or not they might be. As I began school, I began to read more books, and became enraptured with the tales of ancient Greece and Rome, loving the explanations for simple things around us turned into figures and gods. To this day, I still have an avid love of ancient customs, and I have especially fallen in love with Celtic symbolism and myths, winding them into my novels whenever possible. As I got older, about ten or eleven, I had moved, to a small village, with only about 80 children or so. I quickly became the main story-teller of my friends, my favourite one being a story about a girl who buys a porcelain doll, only to hate it after a few days and lock it away in her family's garage. The doll of course, is haunted, and breaks back into the house, calling, 'I'm coming, I'm coming...!' until she reaches the little girl, who is hiding under her cover, where she whispers, 'I'm here, I'm here...!' The poor mother of course comes into her daughter's room in the morning and finds her daughter dead, with the doll sat on top of her. I have a vague memory of telling a wide-eyed group of peers one morning, and one of them running off crying...I think I got told off for telling stories that were too scary at school. At the age of seven or so, I was given two books by a relative; one of them was a large collection of Lewis Carroll, and to this day my favourite poem is 'Phantasmorgoria'. The other book was a collection of weird tales, all involving fair maids and witches, devils and wicked spirits in some form or another, a lot of them derived from eastern story-telling, where children and evil witches constantly collide-usually with awful consequences. This persisted with a series of magazines and music called 'The Magical Music Box'. At this point I began to really get into more horror books, watching all and any horrors on television, even ones that were far too cheesy to watch without laughing. Point Horror stories became a favourite on my shelf as I went into my teens, alongside my classic favourites such as Dorian Grey and Great Expectations (still my favourite book to this day). I got hooked onto Anne Rice novels as well, loving the combination of a typically monstrous creature who had redeeming qualities akin to human ones. The most terrifying book that ever made an impression on me has to be The Exorcist. The film is nothing compared to the book-I don't believe I slept the night after finishing it, waking up at every noise in my room, imagining it to be a voice or whispered giggle. (If you want to cut my bio down a little, please feel free, it's simply the author bio I use everywhere else, so I thought it would be best to send you the whole piece.)

CONNER EXCERPT
USED WITH PERMISSION, COPYRIGHT MIRANDA STORK

She was not sleeping well tonight.
...Something was racing towards her, crashing through the branches and leaves. She was sobbing, and running as fast as she could, but she was cold and wet, and her feet were cut and bleeding. Her clothes hung off her, heavy and chilling.
A small clearing, lit with brilliant sunshine, danced in front of her, teasing her with the sight of it. She ran towards it, trying to scream for help, but her mouth felt full of cotton wool and no sound came out.
Behind her, the breathing and snarling became louder and louder. Frantic, she looked around her for somewhere to hide, but all she could see were trees-no, wait! There was a small hut!
Crying with happiness, Erin began to run towards it, but she was knocked flying by something.
She turned to look, and began to back away in panic. An eight-foot black creature with burning amber eyes glared at her, and began bellowing.
“You must never go inside! NEVER!”
Erin sat bolt upright, cold sweat dripping from her forehead. She took a deep breath, shakily, and switched her bedside light on.
“Oh, Erin.” she murmured to herself, wiping the sweat from her brow. She felt stupid for taking in Conner’s stories so much.
Still shaking, she slid out of bed, and reached for her pink silk dressing gown. Slowly, she pulled it on, and yawned.
Shaking her head to wake herself up, she began to walk downstairs. Her wool carpet felt rough and very real beneath her bare feet; the perfect antidote to helping wake her up. As she reached her downstairs hallway, she fumbled on the smooth white walls for the light switch. The light above her bursting into life, illuminating the hallway; and she pattered along into the kitchen.
Snapping the fluorescent above on, Erin waited as its humming light came to life, allowing her to see her small kitchen; its tiled floors and white walls blinding her for a second.
Erin opened one of her maple cupboard doors, the door squeaking in protest on its hinges, and reached inside to take out a glass. Sleepily, she walked over to her kitchen sink, and began to run water into the glass, the cool water filling it up with a rushing sound.
A sudden quick movement in the shadows outside of her kitchen window made her look up in shock. Squinting, she peered outside, her reflection copying her in the glass.
“It must have been a cat or something.”
Erin muttered to herself. As she turned away from the window, she suddenly heard a very
definite ‘thump’. The kind of thump that you know is someone-or something-letting itself be known to you.
“Alright, what the hell is that?” Erin said aloud, more bravely than she felt. She slammed her glass down on her kitchen table, the clanging noise actually making her feel more panicked. Stories about women who live alone being preyed on by murderers raced through her brain. Shaking those thoughts from her head, she began to walk slowly towards her back door.
Her heart thumping wildly, she took a deep breath, and unlocked her white UPVC back door, flinging it wide open.
Standing less than six feet away from her door was a large, black wolf-creature. It was stood on four paws, but it had two glaring green eyes focused completely on Erin. It’s long tail hung behind it, quite still, as it continued to stare at Erin, daring her to defy it standing there. Erin stood frozen for a second, the blood draining from her body, making her feel cold, and then swiftly slammed the door shut.
She fumbled hurriedly with her lock, and began to walk backwards towards the kitchen door, snapping the fluorescent off as she walked away.
She tripped over a chair leg, unable to see in the dark, crying out as she hit the hard floor.
Shaking, she began to crawl backwards to the door, hitting the far kitchen wall instead.
Sobbing silently with fear, she reached up onto the top next to her, moving her fingers until she touched one of her kitchen knives, left on the top from when she had made her dinner.
Outside, she could still hear the creature breathing heavily, snarling and snuffling at her doorstep. Trembling, she gripped the knife to her chest, and squeezed her knees up, sat in a foetal position.
Hours passed until eventually she heard the creature padding off, her head swimming with fatigue. Erin sat up for what felt like even more hours, listening for the creature coming back, eventually falling into an uneasy sleep.

MY REVIEW

I admit I got lost at first, but after a while I saw that the purpose of the author was to get you confused and this, instead of bothering me, increased my curiosity pretty much. What really kinda annoyed me was the way the characters changed subject. It was something very quick, especially when the characters didn't have the answers they were looking for, so their reactions to the events (particularly relevant) seemed a bit too superficial... But I did like how Conner undressed Erin with his eyes a lot, the mystery around the both of them and then of course their story, quite unique.

The psychological aspect plays a huge role here and it's definitely what amazed me the most. I love the fact that the reader, as the characters, can't escape from questioning everything. Is this for real? Who am I supposed to trust? Who's the bad guy? Wait, is there a bad guy or...? What if...? And these are just some of the questions that will keep rolling in your mind during the whole reading, that's why you really won't be able to put the book down.

Miranda Stork has an evil mind that fascinates me, and the fact that she used a cliffhanger like that at the end of the book, it makes me believe this is the beginning of a very intriguing series!

SUMMARY (from the author's site)
Belle Walker lives in a strict society where women are treated as property, sold to the highest bidder soon after their eighteenth birthday. But the auction isn’t the only danger. Though she’s never seen them, she knows monsters live outside the city. These creatures have allowed the humans a small area to inhabit with the promise to leave them in peace as long as they never cross the boundary. On the day Belle is sold, one of the monsters breaks that promise and enters the city, intent on having her as his own.

MY REVIEW

I totally loved this novella and the sci-fi trait was a real, great revelation! Kitty Thomas built an intriguing futuristic society on a different planet, where humans and monsters inhabit different areas and have very different cultures. Surprise, surprise, the monsters' one is way far better. It's scary to find yourself more in syntony with them, but believe me, their traditions and reasoning completely make sense and these creatures are really unique and fascinating. I loved when Master put his wings around Annabelle, his mate, a really beautiful image that can be read like protective, possessive or why not, both of them. After all, aren't these two main characteristics of a Master?

I devoured "The Auction" in a couple of hours and yes, I was about to start re-reading it again because of OMG-Monster-Masters... A girl, a cave, two brothers, Master (the sadistic one) and Sir, then a series of kinky-hot things that put you in that psychological twist that Kitty Thomas knows how to use so well every single time, and if you really explore it and manage to embrace it, then you're done. There is no escape, monsters or not (but always blushing a lot) Kitty's books are a superb pleasure to read.
