This book was a constant surprise and a nightmare I couldn't escape. Not only Risa had to manage a ruthless, creepy (how freaking scary!) Madeline Hunter, but she had to face a huge weakness of hers that also happens to be one of mine, too. (And wouldn't you want to know what it is?) Hence, I had a hard time as much as our heroine, but boy if we both fought it! Still, Risa had to do the nasty work and she has all my admiration for that. But would you believe that's all she had to face? Of course not, because luck is not with Risa (ever) and surely fate never plays fair...
Many turns of events, some unpredictable and quite shocking, are what really can't make you put the book down. I may not be completely happy about a couple of 'revelations' on the road, but one thing I'm totally sure of is that when I think I can't possibly love Azriel more, a new book comes out and it's clear that I've completely fooled myself. He is really amazing and let me tell you that his 'human behaviour' makes him even more fun, loveable and definitely...a keeper.
Another great book with a finale that has left me eager to know what's next for everyone. Come on Keri Arthur, I'm more than ready, hit me with a new adventure!
