SUMMARY
During the rule of her murderous Dark Fae uncle, Thistle 'Tricks' Periwinkle found sanctuary among the Wyr in New York. Her ethereal beauty and sparkling personality won the hearts of the public, but after her uncle's death, there are those who don't want to see her ascend to the throne. Able to wield thunder and lightning, Wyr sentinel Tiago Black Eagle has ruled the skies for centuries. His massive build and thunderous power make him one of the Wyr's best weapons. He's the one sent to protect Tricks when she's almost assassinated in Chicago. And before long, both Tiago and Tricks fall prey to the stormy hunger that engulfs them—a passion that will shake the very foundation of all the worlds...

MY REVIEW

Tricks or, as we should properly call her, Niniane may not see herself as the perfect candidate to be a Queen, even if she's the rightful heir of the Dark Fae throne, but she definitely has the heart of a great ruler. She certainly doesn't want to take the crown but, no matter what, in the end she must follow the royal path and be strong for everyone's sake. And who better than a protective and way possessive, wild thunderbird who turns surprisingly tender when he feels like it, can help her get through the unpleasant journey? Tiago is absolutely Your tempestuousness Niniane's perfect match and, when passion arises between the two of them, fireworks are guaranteed!

Thea Harrison builds an intriguing political plot and charms her readers once again with characters who make you laugh hard, make you hot a lot and oh boy how they get you emotional... I must confess that I can't wait to put my hands on "Serpent's Kiss" to see how the chemistry between the next couple is going to develop. But then, wouldn't I have the same reaction with any other possible couple? Indeed, there is no one I'm not dying to read about!
