SUMMARY
On stage he’s dynamite. Off stage he rocks her world. When red-hot, Goth-metal band, Black Halo, split live on stage, fate throws Daniella Fosbrook into the path of sexy vocalist Xane Geist. Initially, Xane’s only looking for a ride home, but Dani tempts him in a way a thousand other women haven’t. Determined to explore their heady chemistry and avoid hashing things out with the band, Xane whisks Dani off to Monaco for a steamy weekend. There, Dani tries her best to hang onto her heart and some clothing, while Xane soon loses both. However, Xane isn’t being entirely honest about the reason for the band’s demise. When the truth comes out, can Dani accept the facts, or will everything come undone.

MY REVIEW

Although this book should be read first, I already made the acquaintance of Black Halo by reading "All Night Long" last year. Thankfully, that didn't spoil things for me. After reaching the end of that book, I was simply left way too curious to find out where Xane and Dani were and what was going on between those two.

Finding out what really happened a bit at a time worked very well, and the great twists (especially the shocking one towards the end!) certainly spiced up the whole read. I now have a crush on Xane and I would have very well jumped in bed in the story to give him my support. I swear, sometimes I wanted to slap each member of the band, even Ash—for whom I swooned in "All Night Long"—and I'm not sure how I really feel about Dani. Here and there her actions and words seemed a bit out of character to me, but I can see her insecurities and that's why I'm willing to give her time to shine.

Full of angst that leads to misunderstandings and—consequently—unpleasant situations, this book was a good opening to a world that may very well rock your reading!
