Teaser Tuesday (#54)

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by MizB @ A Daily Rhythm.
Wanna play along? Grab your current read, open to a random page and share two sentences from somewhere on that page, being careful NOT to include spoilers (you don't wanna ruin the book for others!). Also, remember to include title & author as well so, if readers like your teaser, they can add the book to their TBR lists!

This week's teaser: THE SHADOWS by J.R. Ward

It was straight-up crazy.
She was a virtuous servant of the Scribe Virgin's, and he was a reformed sex addict with a life-in-prison-type sentence hanging over his head—and yet, according to his cock and balls, this was a recipe for true love.

What do you think?
Leave a comment with a link to your TT so I can stop by and be teased by them all! ;)

Ha! That made me guffaw, Silvia! :) Is this part of BDB? Or a spinoff? I'm behind on BDB - naturally. ;) But this tease reminds me of why I love the series. :)

  9. Yep, BDB #13. For some miracle I'm one of the lucky ones who managed to stay away from spoilers (Gosh, I hate them!), but unfortunately internet ruined the surprise to discover for myself the main couple of the next instalment. And that, basically, as soon as this book was out . . . *sigh/argh*
