"Nova and Quinton: No Regrets" by Jessica Sorensen

SERIES: Nova #3
GENRE: NA Contemporary Romance
SOURCE: Publisher

Today is the first day of Quinton Carter's new life. The toxic guilt of his past left him in pieces, but one girl unexpectedly put him back together. Thanks to Nova Reed, Quinton can finally see the world with clear eyes. And he would love to have her in his arms every minute of the day... but he's not ready yet. Playing drums in a band and living with her friends are just some of the highlights of Nova's life. But the best new development? Talking to Quinton on the phone each night, though she knows he needs time to heal. Yet shocking news is on the way—a reminder of life's dark side—and Nova will need Quinton like he once needed her. Is he strong enough to take the final leap out of his broken heart... and into Nova's heart?

I meant to read this a long time ago because I knew Nova and Quinton had something special for their final chapter, but then life got in the way and books were all over the place... So yes, I delayed this moment too much, but I'm glad I finally put my feet down and didn't let anything distract me from the read.

New adult books can give you so much and surprise the hell out of you sometimes. Romance always plays its big part, of course, but there are stories—like this one—where tragic events turn your world upside down and make you connect with the characters on a different level. I honestly loved every single moment spent with both Nova and Quinton, their struggle, despair but also hope got me emotional and kept me rooting for them. Especially for Quinton, who needed to find the strength to come out from the dark place he lost himself into and get a hold of his life. Easier said than done, isn't it? But you gotta keep fighting.

Jessica Sorensen delivered a dark, touching, and realistic story. She also found a way to keep me longing for more... In fact, even if we have reached a closure for these two, you'll find there's someone else in the story who might be waiting and begging for attention. And perhaps some kind of a miracle.
